To create a Mayors Initiative that wil I allow former citizens that have relocated to other geographical areas of America the opportunity and the tools t o participate in the revitalization of their hometown in Rural America where ever it may be.
To revitalize Rural American Towns through the Hometown Alumni Associatthn (HAA) in collaboration with the Towns Resident Citizens Community Association (RCCA).
By providing a portal such that proper resources from the Federal and State agencies are readily accessible to the Mayors’ and City Government in conjunction with to the Initiatives. These initiatives wiIl be unique to each town, but will allow constant contact and communication between the Mayors of each town. This forms a political base that will be get attention of the State and Federal Agencies in a more unified manner. It can help to create jobs reeducate the citizens about ongoing concerns and issues, while allowing the associations to provide professional assistance and implementation of new ideas and programs.
Each town will have its’ own informational Interactive Website. The site will allow those citizens who are away the opportunity to be on the agenda if so desired, also speak and interact with their council member
during a meeting and interact with them throughout the week. The portal will also host the Agenda of each meeting and allow per-posted concerns through its’ templates for its citizens and associations response and inclusion. The towns’ secretary will I receive these responses and direct them to the proper council member who governs the address of the respondent. The Council member will be responsible for
addressing the concern of the citizen or association member during these meetings, thus making them more accountable.
The Mayors will create a cabinet from the members of the associations which in turn will elect committees and officers that will carry out the research of programs for the towns benefit. The RCA and HAA leaders will work together to produce real results and will report directly to the Mayors. In a collaborative effort they will induce positive change unique to each town. The Mayors will use their discretion and knowledge to assign across the board his/her cabinet members to hold said position. The makeup should reflect the racial makeup of the town. The persons selected can be ex-mayors, ex-council member or anyone he/she feels will advocate and move his/her programs forward.
